Job Summary
MnDOT District 6 may fill up to 3 summer Transportation Maintenance Student Workers in location and departments listed below.
Materials (Rochester - 1 position)
Assist the Materials Lab in performing various materials property tests on materials used for road and bridge construction, assist the Auger Crew with performing field investigation of place pavements and soils and / or assist Material Engineers with collecting and compiling data from various historical sources.
Typical Hours (Monday - Friday) 7 : 00AM - 3 : 30PM.
Bridge Office / Maintenance / Inspection (Rochester - 1 position / Owatonna - 1 position)
Assist the Bridge staff working on program bridge projects and bridges that are being added into the program. May assist with project contracts and other bridge documentation / files. Assist in various field activities including working with bridge maintenance crews on projects such as painting, structural repairs, and crack sealing; and working with the Construction team on bridge replacement, and reconstruction projects. Will also assist with bridge inspection.
Typical Hours (Monday - Thursday) 6 : 30AM - 5 : 00PM
