The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is seeking a diligent and committed full-time, year-round lifeguard to perform lifeguarding duties, aquatic program instruction, and provides direction to seasonal Lifeguards that is consistent with MPRB mission, values, goals, and comprehensive plan. This work is accomplished in ensuring that the needs and interests of diverse communities are met while exhibiting cultural proficiency in meeting the needs and interest of underserved and under-represented communities.  

Minimum Qualifications: 
High School degree (GED).
Lifeguarding experience: at least twelve (12) months or four (4) summer seasons.
Increasingly responsible experience leading swim lesson and other aquatic programs: at least six (6) months or two (2) summer seasons.
Increasing responsible experience in an aquatic lead role: at least six (6) months or two (2) summer seasons.
Valid driver's license.
American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard/ First-Aid/ CPR/ AED (Or ability to be Recertified within 60 days of hire).
