Come grow with us! The City of Hanover has added a new position to support land use activity, zoning inquiries and other development activities of our small-town community of about 4,300 and growing. The new Planning & Development Coordinator will work with our experienced City Administrator, consulting planner and consulting engineer to support all areas of city planning, zoning, land use inquiries, code education/enforcement and other customer service.
If you are a community development professional looking for a supportive environment where you can put your skills to good use in service to the community, this could be the job for you. Qualification include Bachelor's degree in community development, urban planning or related area; or enrolled with ability to complete degree within six months. Preferred qualifications include local government, GIS and electronic records management systems experience, as well as experience with service delivery through website tools.
