The City of Sartell is seeking a visionary, non-traditional Public Works Director with strong leadership skills, a passion for strategic planning, and expertise in asset management. The Public Works Director performs complex professional work supervising and coordinating the overall daily operations of the Public Works Department; overseeing the construction, maintenance, and repair of the City's infrastructure, including streets, storm and sanitary sewer systems, water and wastewater systems, parks, and municipal grounds, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work involves setting policies and goals under the direction of the City Administrator. Departmental supervision is exercised over all personnel within the department. This position’s primary role will be to provide high-level strategic and visionary leadership to the City’s public works team and long-term planning efforts.
