What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Officer position at Minnesota City Jobs?
Perform full-performance professional work involving:
•Leads the utility in maintaining regulatory compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Planning (RMP). Coordinates the PSM/RMP programs across the utility.
•Maintains and conducts safety education and training programs. Becomes the subject matter expert on the curriculum selection, scheduling, and delivery of our on-line training.
•Updates procedures, programs, policies, guidelines, SOPs, forms, and plans as necessary.
•Conducts investigations and periodic inspections of work sites and SPRWS facilities.
•Investigates occupational accidents, injuries, and potentially hazardous environmental conditions. This is accomplished by examining causes, maintaining and analyzing records, and recommending appropriate actions.
•Participates in utility wide safety committee meetings.
