Job Summary

The Teacher will provide a classroom atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual growth.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
• Identifies, selects and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles and special needs.
• Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offer plans for improvement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the instructional environment.
• Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group and subject area.
• Observe and evaluate students' performance and development.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
• Maintains online lesson plans/class information in LMS.
• Consistently utilizing instructional technology and 21st century teaching methods to engage students on all campuses.
• Support the mission of the school in words and actions.
• Prepare and update all necessary reports and records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures as stated in the school handbook.
• Provide student support, counsel students with academic problems and provide student encouragement.
• Advocate on behalf of students for academic support and counseling.
• Keep up to date with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules, procedures and appropriate disciplinary measures as outlined in the student handbook.
• Complete all required continued educational requirements.
