Here's what you will bring :
At least 3 years of general management experience is required; leadership for a music or art program is preferred
Previous budgetary responsibility
Experience developing and being accountable to program goals, along with measurement, evaluation, and reporting on results
Commitment to diversity and organizational capacity-building
Action-oriented — embraces change and challenges
Must have at least two years of postsecondary education; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Here's what you will do :
Track record of high-accountability and goal-orientation – the ability to make good decisions through a combination of data-driven analysis, personal experience, and wise judgment; high level of business acumen including successful revenue and expense management; the experience to balance the delivery of high-quality program services against the reality of limited budgets
Using our “state of the art” recording studio, participants should be given the opportunity for creative expression by learning the technical skills of music writing and the technical skills behind studio engineering. The director is expected to develop a short-term plan to expand the number of participants served through existing offerings as well as various pilot offerings.
Cross-sector collaboration — experience formalizing partnerships that bring together faith-based and non-faith-based organizations to achieve greater impact
Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual Spanish / English preferred
Faith and values alignment – passion for integrating biblical principles in work and family life; able to align with and judiciously articulate the mission and values of Urban Ventures
Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Managing day to day schedules for vendors / contractors / seasonal staff / volunteers
Physical Requirements :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
Light to moderate lifting may be required
Regular, predictable attendance is required
