This position provides program operations to the programs of the Agricultural Conservation Services Section. Reporting to and working with the Conservation Programs Unit Supervisor, and with the entire staff and Manager of the Agricultural Conservation Services Section, this position is responsible for coordinating functions of the Soil Health Financial Assistance Program (SHFAP), including grant making, the administrative functions of the Minnesota Agricultural Water Quality Certification Program (MAWQCP), and is staff lead for the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant-funded Climate Smart Food Systems program functions and services. Coordination includes supporting programs’ operations, purchasing, contracting, communications, evaluation, reporting, and revision. This position works closely with federal, state, and local government personnel, private and nonprofit entities, and supervises contractors engaged in Unit and Section services and communications / engagement initiatives related to overall program delivery.
