**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer/engineering Intern to join our team at the Minnesota Department of Transportation. As a key member of our bridge and highway construction projects, you will assist in providing supervision and technical support to contract administration personnel.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in reviewing and approving contractor's work to ensure timely processing of supplemental agreements, change orders, work orders, and project payments.
- Negotiate necessary contract changes to prevent project delays.
- Exercise supervisory authority to administer labor agreements and plans, ensuring employees effectively perform their job duties and meet specifications, plans, and special provisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil or Construction Engineering with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or currently enrolled in the final term, graduating by June 2025.
- Knowledge of Windows-based operating systems, spreadsheet, and word-processing software applications, as well as project scheduling software.
- Familiarity with the principles and practices of highway construction, engineering, and contract administration.
