Job Title:
Roadway Construction Inspection and Construction Surveys
About the Position:
The MnDOT Metro District has temporary vacancies in Roadway Construction Inspection and Construction Surveys for our Eden Prairie, Golden Valley, Mendota Heights, and Oakdale offices.
These positions may start between March through May and may be employed for through the summer of 2025 only or may continue for a duration of up to one year.
These positions are great opportunities to gain experience that may lead to a permanent position with MnDOT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to contract administration and field inspection personnel as part of Roadway Construction Inspection team.
- Assist in performing field survey responsibilities as part of Construction Surveys team.
Requirements:
- A valid Class D Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver - Class B license with no air brake restrictions and tanker endorsement.
- Twelve months of experience performing activities in either Surveys (e.g., land, location, and construction surveys, etc.), or Construction (roadway, bridge construction, residential or commercial instruction) or related activities.
- Or two years of experience performing contract administration (roadway and/or bridge construction) or Surveys activities (e.g., land, location, and construction surveys, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Architectural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Land Surveying / Geomatics degree.
- TRANSPORTATION GENERALIST SENIOR experience.
