All position will work out of the Bemidji headquarters and will work 40 hours per week. Flexibility for the length of season will be considered by MnDOT, but June 4 - August 26, 2025 is an approximate term for this summer work opportunity. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, starting at 7:00 or 8:00 am.

Minimum Qualifications
Water Resources: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to work outside exposed to the weather elements (both cold and hot) on a daily basis. The employee will frequently drive a motor vehicle in off-road conditions. Periodically, the employee will walk on even and uneven/sloping ground. The employee may work in high volume traffic zones in daytime conditions. The employee must frequently and continually rotate through various body positions (standing, twisting, bending, sitting, kneeling, squatting). The employee will operate testing equipment (using vision and hearing) under varying temperatures. The employee may frequently move up to 100 pounds by pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying. The employee must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment to protect the head, eyes, hearing, respiration, visibility, and feet from injury.

Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of methods sufficient to carry out detailed work directions.
- Ability to understand technical documents and follow instructions.
- Ability to perform manual labor sufficient to complete assignments.
- Strength and agility necessary to bend, lift, dig, reach.
- Endurance necessary to perform indoor and outdoor tasks under extreme environmental conditions, such as heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
- Valid Class D Driver’s License
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to learn and use basic tools, machinery and equipment.
- Preference will be given to applicants who are currently enrolled as full-time students in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, Construction management, Land Surveying or related fields of study.
