Responsibilities
As a Senior Pavement Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance on pavement design, materials testing, and construction projects. This includes:
- Providing technical guidance on pavement design, materials testing, and construction projects
- Leading the Materials Lab team in conformance with applicable standards, methods, and specifications
- Developing and implementing pavement maintenance and construction programs that meet Department standards
- Collaborating with project managers to ensure consultant contracts meet requirements
Qualifications
- Licensure as a professional Civil Engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID)
- Three (3) years of post-registration engineering experience at the Engineer Senior level (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated knowledge of materials engineering, roadway and pavement design, pavement and grading materials, pavement rehabilitation strategies, life cycle cost analysis, soil properties, and characteristics associated with their use of highway engineering construction
