About the Role
This position involves providing technical guidance in the design of bridges and transportation structures for the State Highway System. The successful candidate will manage and supervise the bridge-related aspects of all Design-Build projects, from predesign to administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Bridge Office Alternative Delivery and Agreements Unit.
- Oversee the bridge components of all Design-Build projects.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of bridge design and construction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with agency standards.
Requirements:
- Licensure as a professional civil engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design (AELSLAGID), or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Five years of experience in structural engineering or bridge design.
