This position will prepare and cook aesthetically pleasing, nutritional food for residents, staff, and guests of the Minnesota Veterans Home - Minneapolis.
This position is designated as full-time and the work schedule will include 80 hours per 2-week pay period and may include additional work hours, based on business needs.
The Minneapolis Home is located on Minnehaha Avenue, which has connecting highways and public transportation options for an easy commute. The beautiful 53-acre wooded campus includes mature oaks and pines, nature trails and biking paths overlooking the Mississippi River.

- Note: This is an evening position, work hours are 10:30 am - 7:00pm and is eligible for shift differential pay of $2.25 per hour for hours worked after 6:00pm. This position works every other weekend, please note days "Days OFF" above.

- Follow instructions and read and comprehend written instructions.
- Prepare special medical diets.

- Experience cooking in a large long-term care facility.
- Experience with inventory and stocking.
