This position provides administrative support for the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, Statewide Director, Education and Employment Division. This position will develop and implement office administrative procedures. This position will respond orally and in writing to a wide range of technical questions and will independently research, answer and/or appropriately refer. This position requires knowledge of terminology related to serving military veterans and their family members in an educational setting. This position requires knowledge of special software programs as may be determined by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The position requires the development of documents utilizing Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The position requires the gathering and compiling of statewide data for the Higher Education Veterans Programs (HEVP). This position will schedule meetings for the director and other HEVP employees. The position requires budget monitoring and budget recommendations and will manage purchasing of supplies for the statewide HEVP Director and Regional Coordinator offices. This position will provide work direction to other employees, students and volunteers.

- Knowledge of communications sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
