Description
Purpose
Perform basic and advanced diagnostics, service repair and maintenance work on customer and dealership owned ag and turf equipment.
Essential Duties
- Perform basic diagnostics and repairs on customer equipment
- Participate in all training programs offered by the dealership
- Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
- Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
- Ensure all department tools and equipment are in good working order
- Assist in maintaining a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
- Account for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties
- Follow all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook

Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be able to recognize a minimum of 1 years experience in performing service repairs for ag and turf equipment on submitted resume and application
- Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of ag nd turf equipment
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly
- Basic service technician certification preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
- Valid drivers license is required
- Fork lift license preferred
