Job Summary
As the Rubber Assembler Fabricator, you'll be responsible for producing quality parts using basic mechanical assembly practices and equipment. A rubber fabricator performs in-process and final inspections of work completed by self and others.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Assemble hose and tubing, fittings, and various other components into finished products
- Operate assembly equipment, such as crimpers, swagers, metal stampers, and cutters
- Read and understand basic engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions as guides to assembly
-Perform in process inspections and tests using calipers and plug gages
-Pressure test using hydrostatic, vacuum, and pneumatic test equipment
-Accurately account for materials used in production and make adjustments for scrap
Minor Duties and Responsibilities
-Maintain a clean and hazard free work area
-Set up workstation and select appropriate tools for assigned job
-Perform routine maintenance of production equipment
Qualifications
-Ability to read prints and take accurate measures
-High attention to detail
-Familiar using calipers and other small hand tools and measurements equipment
-Good mathematical skills
-Ability to lift to 50lbs
-Complete 90% of the job while standing
