SUMMARY
As an Events and Education Administrative Intern, you will work closely with our events and education and communications teams to support various functions within the Minnesota Hospital Association. The intern participates in a wide variety of support services to gain practical knowledge of planning and executing education events and webinars. Applying a friendly, customer-service-oriented approach to all aspects of the job is a must! This position has responsibilities that encompass database support, helping to plan and execute education events and webinars, and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Database support: data entry, prepare reports, maintain member records, register, and create invoices for member education events.
- Scheduling: assist with and execute education webinars.
- Evaluation: create and administer education evaluations and share results with supervisor.
- Event management: assist with setup, registration, onsite logistics, cleanup, and follow up for in-person meetings and conferences.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments, such as quality and safety, communications, and accounting
- Special Projects: Contribute to special projects as assigned by the education and events team, gaining exposure to various aspects of events and education.
- Other duties as assigned.

4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with various MHA staff across the organization. At the same time, ability to complete work independently with little
supervision.
7. Ability to travel to education events across the state.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1. Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Working knowledge of project management
