Schedule:
Average of 10-15 hours/week, hybrid (some hours onsite are required each week)
Purpose Statement:
The Development Database Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Minnesota Independence College and Community (MICC) by effectively managing the development database, facilitating strategic moves management, and fostering meaningful efforts to recognize and appreciate the generous contributions of our donors and supporters.

- Demonstrate sound judgement, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Facilitate positive relationships with donors, volunteers, and community partners and promote MICC whenever possible
- Maintain confidentiality and promote respect for all MICC students, graduates, staff, families, donors, and others
- Maintain effective and professional communication with individuals inside and outside of MICC
- Work collaboratively with other staff members in support of their work
- Other duties as assigned
Areas of Responsibility:
Database Management:
- Maintain and update the donor and supporter database
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive data entry for donor contributions, pledges, and contact information
- Implement and manage moves management strategies to track donor engagement and progression
- Develop and maintain donor profiles to facilitate effective moves management
- Work collaboratively with the Development team to identify and execute cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for major donors
- Track and report on donor actions to assess progress and adjust strategies accordingly
- Generate and analyze reports to track donor trends, fundraising performance, and other relevant metrics
- Provide regular reports to the Development team to support strategic decision-making
- Work closely with the Development team to provide necessary data for fundraising campaigns and initiatives
- Respond to donor inquiries and requests for information promptly and professionally
Gift Processing:
- Process and acknowledge donations in a timely manner, adhering to established protocols
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile financial records and ensure accurate reporting
- Implement and monitor moves management techniques to strategically guide donors through the giving process
Data Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices
- Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard sensitive donor information
Retirement, Paid Sick Time, and Floating Holiday:
- 403(b) Retirement Plans*
- Accrue 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked
- 4 hours of floating holiday

Requirements:Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of nonprofit fundraising strategies
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT or similar CRM
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail required
- Experience and interest in constituent engagement and project management
- Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills
- High level of proficiency in using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and good judgment
- Demonstrate professionalism in work performance and communication with others
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field
- 2-3 years of working experience
- A desire to work in an environment that supports autistic and neurodiverse individuals a plus
