As a GenTax Developer Lead, you will be responsible for one or more of the major functions within system. The position will plan, manage projects, prioritize work, assign resources, and provide leadership for new enhancements, major changes, and upgrades to the system.
This position is responsible for analyzing, coding, testing and implementing GenTax Integrated Tax system code configurations for the Department of Revenue (DOR). This position is responsible for implementing solutions that satisfy well-defined business problems using the proper GenTax configurations.
The position is responsible for providing analysis of business requests, gathering requirements, configuring GenTax software, testing written GenTax code configuration, implementing and maintaining configured code, and providing production support of the GenTax application as part of the GenTax application and development support team.
The position may work in any of the following GenTax functional areas:
Audit, Collections, Registration, Interfaces, Discovery/Data Warehouse, Refunds, Financials, Payments, Returns or Letters.
Work may include gathering and documenting requirements, analysis, configuring and writing any required site specific component business objects for letters, reports, queries or data cubes in GenTax using VB.Net, configuring core GenTax, writing SQL queries, implementing interfaces and system testing.
The position provides the day-to-day leadership and work direction to employees as an extension of management. The position has the ongoing, daily responsibility to prioritize, schedule, assign, direct, guide, and report on the work activities of state information technology employees and contractors so that work is completed in an efficient and effective manner.
This position requires an employee to be onsite in St. Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

- VB.net or C# languages
- Gathering and understanding requirements for reporting on complex systems
- Leading a team of developers and working with other teams
