About the Opportunity
The Camp Office Manager is an exciting position for a highly organized, creative and kid-friendly person who is excited about working behind the scenes to make summer camp great! The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the camp office and administrative functions during pre-camp set up and throughout the summer season. The Office Manager will support the camp staff as an organized administrative lead with tasks including managing attendance, managing supply ordering and inventory, communicating with outside vendors and other logistical tasks. The Office Manager can expect to communicate with camp families, work closely with the Camp Director and Program Director, and lead the team with respect to administrative tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for being conscious of and protecting the health, safety, and welfare of all campers in any area or programs at camp.
- As part of the camp seasonal leadership team, serve as a role model and leader in the camp community
- Responsible for managing camp communications i.e. weekly camp newsletter, pre-session informational emails, field trip / special event details, etc.
- Keeping inventory of food, drinks, paper products, office supplies, program supplies, maintenance supplies, etc. Developing all shopping lists for program supplies, maintenance supplies and food. Shopping / or ordering will be done 1-2 days during the week.
- Managing camp files in our online camp management system, CampMinder.
- Responsible for miscellaneous office work including answering phones and emails, printing documents, etc.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned to ensure the ongoing smooth operation of Camp during the summer months.
