WHAT YOU WILL DO
The following are examples of major job duties expected of this position:
- Performs independently the full scope of varied clerical court work relating to financial transaction processing in criminal, civil, probate, family, and juvenile case processing on the Minnesota Court Information System (MNCIS), Microsoft Office, electronic File & Service, SharePoint, and other related computer system.
- Uses attention to detail and basic math skills in processing financial transactions on judicial orders and reports.
- Performs end of day financial balancing for all financial transactions handled by operations staff for the day.
- Determines processing required and takes necessary action in accordance with court rules and procedures.
- Provides customer service regarding case outcomes, court procedures, forms and documents over the phone, via email, and occasionally at the public service counter.
- Assists internal and external customers with record dissemination and requests for documents and other information.
- Images court documents; checking scanned documents for proper documentation type and security classifications and ensuring all pages are scanned properly and are legible. Assures confidentiality in compliance with statutes and court rules.
- Reviews legal documents for completeness, adequacy, accuracy, and compliance with statutes and court rules.
- Reviews Minnesota Court Information System (MNCIS) and other reports and implements appropriate corrective actions.
- May perform duties related to court records, administrative duties, and jury operations, including speaking to large groups of the public. Other administrative duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of relevant job experience or greater, which may include but is not limited to customer service, administrative work, office, and clerical work. Additional education may substitute for experience.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
- This AFSCME-represented position is located in the Washington County Courthouse at 14949 62nd St. N. Stillwater, MN 55082
- Work is performed primarily in an office-setting, a public counter and/or in a courtroom.
- The expected hiring range for external hires for this position is $22.50 to $27.42/hr, based on qualifications, with a full future earning potential of $46,980- $71,848 annually.
- This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
- Core business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Initial days off: Saturday, Sunday, and Court Designated Holidays.
