The City of Ramsey (Anoka County) is now hiring for Police Officer / New or Lateral Transfer
We are looking for two individuals to join our team. Police Officers maintain order, keeping the peace and responding to citizen's needs by discouraging crimes through high-visibility policing, investigative capability and the subsequent reporting and apprehension of suspected violators of the law.
The City of Ramsey has 29 sworn officers, including a Police Chief, Captains, Sergeants, Investigators, Community Resource Officers, and Anoka County Drug Task Force.Â
Employee benefits start on Day 1, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance. We offer vacation, ESST/sick, holiday paid time off. Police Officers are members of the LELS Patrol Union.
The 2025 wage scale: Step 1: $37.786 - Step 2: $38.754 - Step 3: $43.599 - Step 4: $46.021 - Top: $48.443/hour
The 2025 longevity wage scale: After 5: $49.412 - After 8: $50.381 - After 12: $51.350 - After 16: $52.318/hour
