Description :
Work with Head Coaches to oversee daily practice and weekly competition schedules for the Middle School Track & Field program. Provide bus supervision for all out-of-town competitions, and locker room supervision throughout the season. Build quality relationships with middle school youth and maintain cooperative partnerships with paid and volunteer coaches. Build a strong communication network with program staff, parents, and community. Provide inventory management of all supplies, equipment, and uniforms and report competition scores to the OMS Activities Coordinator.
Position Requirements :
High school diploma or GED - two or four-year degree in an education related field preferred. Track & Field coaching experience including foundational skill development required. Excellent inter / intra-personal skills. Focus on leadership and the community of Owatonna as a whole are highly desired. Strong technology skills beneficial. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Schedule :
- Track & Field season is April 7, 2025 to May 23, 2025
- Spring Parent / Athlete Meeting Scheduled for March 24, 2025 at 6 : 00 pm.
- Practice time 3 : 00 PM - 5 : 00 PM (Could vary)
Pay Rate :
1,250 per assistant coach per season
