Have you ever wondered what it takes to put on one of the largest events in North America? This opportunity is for you! Come join the Minnesota State Fair Operations team as the Operations Intern! The Operations Intern assists with administrative functions of the operations office and activities related to the Campground, Cathlin Parking Lot, Storage, and other general administrative duties.
Employment Type :
Summer Employment - this is a temporary position that starts in April and ends in September, 2025.
Essential Functions :
Perform administrative duties at the operations office building including monitor the reception desk, coordinate daily mail delivery, and assist in scheduling forklift services.
Assist with the planning of the Campground and Cathlin Parking Lot.
Answer phone and e-mail inquiries regarding the Campground, Cathlin lot and Storage.
Assist with storage information including printing, copying, and mailing information packets.
Monitor and assist with application requests.
Set up the Campground Office and reception area for events and the fair.
Process cash and / or credit card payments.
Computer data entry as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities :
Assist with additional tasks as assigned by either the immediate supervisor or other full-time operations staff.
Requirements
High school diploma.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Intermittent to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
