Minnesota State Community and Technical College is seeking an Associate Vice President for Recruitment and Retention. This position will be located on the Fergus Falls Campus and the anticipated start date is July 1, 2025.

Position Summary:
The Associate Vice President (AVP) for Recruitment and Retention will lead the charge as an innovative and visionary leader with a deep understanding of trends, best practices, and data-driven approaches for strategic enrollment management. The Associate Vice President is positioned to communicate M State’s message, telling the stories, sharing the data, and modeling the excitement that energizes and builds support for the College’s mission.
The Associate Vice President for Recruitment and Retention reports to the Vice President of Student Affairs and serves as the chief enrollment officer of the College. A key member of the President's Cabinet, this position is responsible for providing strategic vision, comprehensive leadership, effective planning, program development, budget oversight, data analysis, and institutional coordination for strategic enrollment management and the student enrollment experience. As a highly visible organizational leader, this position directs the collegewide effort of strategic enrollment planning and plan execution, in close collaboration with marketing, budget office, institutional effectiveness, strategic planning, community relations, and academic and student affairs.
This position also oversees athletics on the Fergus Falls campus. NJCAA Division III athletics places the utmost emphasis on student athletes’ holistic educational experience and degree attainment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in education, business, or other related area.
  • A minimum of five years leading a sales or recruitment function or equivalent; higher education recruitment and enrollment experience recommended.
  • Demonstrated leadership in recruiting or sales, including developing and implementing data-driven programs.
  • Highly efficient, effective, and results-oriented individual with strong business acumen, proven experience leading and motivating a team.
  • Experience with current and emerging technology (hardware and software solutions) related to recruiting or sales. Expertise with web-based recruitment and enrollment efforts.
  • Knowledge of national and state issues related to higher education policies and practices that influence enrollment management.
  • A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Minnesota State Community and Technical College.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or higher preferred.
