Job Description
Under limited supervision, this position coordinates our Basic Needs Program, including but not limited to the food rescue program, Student Needs Center, Central Lakes College Food Pantry, SNAP E&T programming, community resources, interns, student workers, and volunteers. This position establishes procedures and processes including program goals and work plans, assessment, scheduling, and continuous quality improvement. The work in this position is highly collaborative and will work with academic and student affairs departments, community organizations, not-for-profits, and other social service entities to understand, collaborate, and address basic needs of college students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associates degree and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience in residential life, co-curricular activities and/or a related student affairs area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated success in fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal.
- Demonstrated initiative and experience in community development.
- Excellent administrative skills including an ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years’ experience in residential life, co-curricular activities and/ or a related student affairs area.
- Knowledge of equity and diversity issues and emerging trends and best practices.
- Knowledge of student development theory.
- Experience with program assessment and development.
- Demonstrated experience in effective conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of Minnesota State system policies and procedures.
Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)
Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day, 8:00-4:30 with occasional flexing for weekend work. This is a limited position for 3 years.
