Job Description

The major responsibility of this position involves instruction and supervision of dental hygiene students while they provide services in the Minnesota State University, Mankato Dental Clinic.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry as a dental hygienist.

Preferred Qualification

Possesses a bachelor's degree.

Knowledge of periodontal treatment techniques using both hand instrumentation and ultrasonic instrumentations.

Knowledge of digital software and digital radiography.

Knowledge of other dental hygiene duties and procedures.

Communicates with staff, students, patients, and other dental personnel.

Performs sterilization and preparation of dental operatory according to CDC guidelines.

Perform all duties in the dental hygiene scope of practice in accordance with licensure in the State of Minnesota.

Current CPR certification.

Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
