We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team. The QC Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and assessing product quality at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with company and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to learn to use precision measuring instruments (such as micrometers and calipers)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify defects in manufacturing
- Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct visual and mechanical inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, goniometers and Rockwell hardness testers.
- Document inspection results and generate reports on product quality and compliance.
- Identify defects or deviations from specifications and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures and work instructions.
- Inform the machine operator, group leader, or supervisor of product that does not meet required specifications.
- Perform finished product inspection when required. Documenting measurements.
- Perform inspections on returned product to determine if the product does not meet the customers specifications
- Sample and inspect product that has been tagged as been in non-conformant. Document findings and inform the necessary personnel of the inspection findings.
- Calibrate measuring equipment.
- Work on quality control projects when required.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule:
- 10-hour shifts
- Monday to Thursday
- Rotating weekly 1st and 2nd shift
- Overtime possible based on business needs
