Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled ECFE Coordinator/Teacher to join our early childhood team. This role involves leading high-quality Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) programs that support both young children and their families. The Coordinator/Teacher will work closely with families, staff, and community members to ensure the program meets the needs of the community and complies with state requirements.
License Requirement:
Must have a valid Early Childhood Education license from the Minnesota Department of Education.
Compensation: Hourly, depending on qualifications and experience
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Instruction:
Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities for parents and children.
Develop play-based learning for children on non-parent days.
Create and use curriculum suitable for different age groups.
Observe and assess children’s growth; hold conferences with parents.
Support families with child development strategies and positive interactions.
Classroom & Program Management:
Create a safe and engaging classroom environment.
Guide teaching assistants and support staff.
Work closely with the Parent Educator and other team members.
Help plan and evaluate the overall ECFE program.
Child Screening & Support:
Conduct early childhood screenings.
Share screening results with parents and offer next steps when needed.
Professional Responsibilities:
Attend training, meetings, and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Be reliable and maintain consistent attendance.
Perform other related duties as needed.
