POSITION SNAPSHOT
The Technology Solutions Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing endpoint solutions. This role focuses on ensuring the efficient and secure operation of endpoint devices such as applications, computing, mobile, network-connected devices, vehicles, surveillance systems, and others. The Technology Solutions Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, service development, and operations, to provide effective endpoint management and support.
The Technology Solutions Specialist must have flexibility to cover after-hour events and on-call duties as assigned.
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS
- Design and implement endpoint solutions, including hardware, operating systems, software applications, and security configurations.
- Configure and deploy endpoint devices, ensuring proper connectivity, system stability, and user productivity.
- Develop and maintain endpoint management policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and secure operations.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to resolve technical problems.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and risks associated with devices and implement remediation strategies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding endpoint devices, software applications, and connectivity-related issues.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to endpoint management, security, and device configurations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate solutions with other infrastructure components, such as network systems and cloud platforms.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of endpoint management tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
- Ensures supervisor, customers, and co-workers are informed of critical issues and of any changes in the status of critical issues. Communicates system outages and critical downtime that may impact user availability of network resources. Contacts software / hardware vendors when appropriate to resolve system issues.
