Your Role Will Include:
- Guiding and supervising children in grades K-5, ensuring safety and engagement in activities.
- Assisting in planning, preparing, and implementing engaging activities for participants.
- Providing classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.
- Maintaining accurate records related to children’s progress, attendance, and activities.
- Building and nurturing positive relationships with parents and guardians.
- Upholding a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field with three months of relevant experience, OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field with six post-secondary credits (three in child and youth development, three in after-school programming) and three months of experience, OR
- An Associate’s degree (AA), two years of college in a related field, or an equivalent certificate with six months of relevant experience, OR
- An unrelated field of study with 2080 hours of OST work experience, six post-secondary credits (three in child and youth development, three in after-school programming), and one year of experience.
- Evidence of successful experience working with children in a child care setting.
Salary and Benefits:
- Starting pay of $20.10/hour
- Full-time positions are benefit eligible at 30 hours or more a week
Locations & Shift Times:
- Minnetonka Elementary Schools
- FT, split shift - 6:30-9:00 AM, 1:30-6:00 PM
- PT afternoon hours - 1:30-6:00 PM
