the table while working alongside experienced staff and volunteers.

Summary:
Founded in 1967, the Minnetonka Youth Hockey Association (MYHA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated
to promote, sponsor and provide facilities for, and conduct a supervised program of hockey training
and competition for, youth in the Minnetonka School District and surrounding communities for the
purpose of making them better citizens and athletes and aiding in their physical and mental
development. MYHA operates with an annual revenue of approximately $3-4 million and 1,200 youth
participants. MYHA owns and manages a two-rink facility that includes fitness and meeting space.
The Program Director reports to the MYHA Board and has overall day to day responsibility for
programs, activities and functions of MYHA. The Program Director will act as the Board Liaison as
they provide structure to MYHA in tying together the operational and strategic needs. The Program
Director will achieve these goals by focusing on operational and administrative effectiveness,
supporting revenue generation opportunities, short and long-term success of MYHA. In conjunction
with the Board, the Program Director will help to execute on long term strategy and daily
administrative and operational tasks of MYHA.

- Act as the liaison for the MYHA board and it’s Volunteer Board Members
- Build and maintain working relationships with Board members to establish long term objectives
- Identify and support Revenue Generation opportunities such as fundraising, sponsorships and
- Serve as a liaison between the Board and the Gambling Manager to monitor, develop and maintain
- In Partnership with MYHA Board Leadership, support relationship and communication with the
- Understand the budgets for MYHA and Pagel to maintain a working knowledge of how the budget

- Participate, support and provide onsite help at tournaments and events that MYHA hosts or
for year over year consistency.
- Assists other departments, board members and employees as necessary
- Performs related activities as directed
MYHA is a one-of-a-kind youth organization that is looking for a leader that can blend MYHA’s long

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field
- Proven experience in executive leadership and management, preferably in sports administration
- Basic understanding of the game of hockey and the needs of players, coaches, and parents
- Ability to collaborate across multiple organizations. Both internal and external groups
- Exceptional organizational, financial, and strategic planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in computer applications, project management platforms, CRM and relevant software
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, sponsorship acquisition, and revenue generation
- Knowledge of non-profit governance and compliance requirements
