Job Summary:
At Minnetronix Medical, we have reimagined how we engage college students. Starting in 2020, we developed the Re-Imagined Student Experience Program (RISE Program) that offers year-round internship experiences, in a variety of disciplines to enhance your education and provide hands-on work experience to help launch your career in the medical device field. We are looking for students interested in a Mechanical Engineering career to join our organization and collaborate with our team to bring cutting edge medical devices to life. This role will consist of a 10–12-week internship throughout Summer 2025 where RISE Students will be working directly with their mentor on projects such as:
- Assisting in the mechanical design and evaluation of a wide range of electromechanical medical devices with potential applications in instrumentation, fluid management, motion control, pneumatics, and power transmission
- Collaborate with human factors engineers, industrial designers, usability experts, to develop creative, clinically relevant products
- Assist in the design of plastic, metal and/or machined enclosures in accordance with applicable international standards and certification agencies
- Work to research, develop, design, and evaluate electromechanical components, assemblies, fixtures, and equipment; and assist in their supplier selection
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Required to be onsite for hands-on activities.
- Assist in the design and testing.
- Assist in device builds and design documentation.
- Opportunity to learn new technical skills.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- College Student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or relative field
- Class status of Sophomore or Junior preferred
- Interested in pursuing a career in the medical device industry
- Available 30-40 hours/week preferred
- Available for 10–12-week Summer RISE Program Internship
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; at this time, Minnetronix does not transfer or sponsor visas
