Minnkota Power Cooperative is seeking a qualified Plant Engineer - Reliability
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the Milton R. Young Station, a two-unit coal-fired power plant located near Center, ND.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues affecting plant performance.
- Oversee change management initiatives to ensure seamless implementation of new processes and technologies.
- Optimize work practices to minimize risks and maximize efficiency.
- Evaluate design alternatives to improve plant operations and maintenance.
- Design and install new equipment to replace outdated or failing systems.
- Troubleshoot systems with Operations and Maintenance teams to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
- Ensure safety of work practices by following established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor and recommend new technology to improve efficiency, reliability, availability, and longevity of the plant and its equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Prior experience in an industrial setting with emphasis on reliability and rotating equipment is preferred but not necessary.
