Job Summary: Minnwest Bank is seeking a Full Time Advanced Universal Banker for our Montevideo and Dawson locations. The Advanced Universal Banker is responsible for providing all Minnwest Bank customers with a professional and courteous customer experience, from sales to service. This position provides solutions to satisfy customers' financial needs by opening new deposit accounts and handling customer deposit transactions. This position will also cross-sell bank retail and business products and services, as well as service existing account relationships. 

This position requires travel to various branches to provide adequate staffing coverage due to staffing needs as well as to the Minnwest Bank Training Center in Eagan, MN for Universal Banker Training.  If the local branch location has a bank vehicle, the bank vehicle should be booked for this travel. If not, the Universal Banker will be paid mileage while using their own vehicle.   

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide prompt and courteous customer service by identifying and recommending bank products and services to fulfill their needs. 
2. Process routine transactions such as but not limited to:
   • receiving checks and cash for deposits
   • verifying cash and endorsements
   • issuing receipts
   • issuing cashier's checks
   • cashing checks
   • paying out funds
3. Proactively transition customers and prospects opportunities to achieve individual, team and organizational sales and service goals.
4. Assist customers with account changes or inquires as well as any issues or questions they may have.
5. Maintain knowledge of all bank products and services.
6. Comply with Minnwest Bank policies and procedures as well as state and federal banking laws and regulations. 

Schedule:
Full-time 40 hours per week
Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5:30 pm
Rotating Saturdays: 8am - Noon

Workplace Environment:

• Requires face-to-face interaction and coordination of work with customers, other employees and departments, and in-person interaction.
• Working at a computer and utilizing a telephone
• Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma
• One year of consumer lending or successful completion of consumer lending training 
• Dependable, organized team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers in a clear, effective professional manner.
• Willing to continuously learn and grow within the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-year associate degree 
• 2 years of previous consumer lending, including Home Equity Lines of Credit 
• Ability to multi-task, be organized, effective time management.

Pay Range: $24.80 - $27.90 / hour 

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. The salary range represents anticipated base pay for this role. The actual pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary based on factors including but not limited to work location, candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
