The Minot Hot Tots & Honeybees are on the lookout for an energetic, reliable, and friendly Beer Pourer to join our game-day team! As a Beer Pourer, you’ll be responsible for serving ice-cold, refreshing beverages to our fans, ensuring that every guest has a fantastic time while enjoying the game. Key Responsibilities:
- Pouring & Serving Beer: Accurately pour and serve beer to fans at designated beer stands or kiosks during games and events. Ensure proper portion sizes and maintain consistent quality and temperature.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with fans in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. Answer questions about available drink options, team promotions, and venue policies.
- Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately, including cash, credit cards, and team-specific payment systems. Maintain a clean and organized cash register and handle money responsibly.
- Stocking & Inventory: Ensure beer taps and cooler stocks are consistently stocked and replenished throughout the game. Work with the team to monitor inventory and ensure enough product is available for the duration of the event.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the beer-serving area clean and organized at all times. Dispose of empty cans, bottles, and other waste and ensure the bar area is presentable for customers.
- Compliance with Alcohol Laws: Follow all state and local alcohol-serving laws, including checking IDs to verify legal drinking age, refusing service to intoxicated guests, and handling alcohol responsibly.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for fans, including maintaining a safe workspace and adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other concessions staff to ensure smooth service, effective communication, and teamwork during high-volume times such as pre-game, halftime, and post-game rushes.
Qualifications:
- Must Be of Legal Age to Serve Alcohol: Must be 19 years or older and possess any necessary local or state certifications to serve alcohol (e.g., TIPS or other responsible beverage service training).
- Customer-Focused: Must have excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing attitude to create a positive experience for all fans.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and lift and carry heavy items (such as beer kegs and cases).
- Team Player: Strong ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient service and a smooth operation on game days.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work quickly while maintaining high standards of accuracy in serving, handling money, and ensuring customers get what they’ve ordered.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in concessions or event environments.
- Knowledge of different types of beer and beer brands.
- Ability to handle large crowds and maintain composure during busy moments.
