As the face of the team, you will be responsible for entertaining fans, creating lasting memories, and bringing our mascot characters to life at every home game and event. If you love performing, interacting with crowds, and spreading team spirit, this is the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Mascot Performance: Bring the Hot Tots & Honeybees mascot characters to life on game days, events, and community appearances. This includes dancing, interacting with fans, posing for photos, and participating in skits or routines.
- Fan Engagement: Engage with fans of all ages, create fun experiences, and maintain high energy throughout the game or event. Ensure every fan leaves with a smile and a lasting impression.
- Crowd Participation: Lead fun crowd activities such as chants, cheers, and in-game promotions. Encourage fans to get involved in games, giveaways, and team cheers.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and game-day operations teams to coordinate mascot appearances, performances, and events. Ensure all planned mascot activities align with the team’s vision and branding.
- Mascot Care: Responsible for the maintenance and care of the mascot costume, ensuring it's clean, functional, and ready for every event.
- Entertainment and Creativity: Come up with new ideas for fan engagement and perform creative skits or routines to keep the atmosphere lively and entertaining.
- Safety Awareness: Ensure safety while performing, especially in high-energy crowd environments. Follow team guidelines for mascot behavior and interact in a way that’s both fun and safe for everyone involved.
Qualifications:
- Energetic and Enthusiastic: Must have an outgoing, high-energy personality that can engage with fans of all ages and create an unforgettable experience.
- Performance Skills: Comfort with performing in front of large crowds, including dancing, acting, and participating in fun activities.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform and interact for long periods, especially during outdoor or high-temperature games, while wearing a mascot costume.
- Positive Attitude: A fun, can-do attitude is a must! You’ll be spreading positivity and excitement, so you should be a naturally upbeat and approachable person.
- Creative Mindset: Ability to come up with fresh, engaging ideas to entertain and interact with fans throughout the game and season.
- Team-Oriented: Ability to collaborate with other game-day staff, including the marketing and operations teams, to ensure the mascot’s activities complement the overall fan experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks (dancing, posing for pictures, etc.) in costume.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during the baseball season.
