The Minot Hot Tots and Honeybees are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Scoreboard Operator to join our team. The Scoreboard Operator will be responsible for accurately displaying the score and other important game information during home games for both teams. This is a fast-paced role requiring attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the electronic scoreboard, ensuring real-time updates for the score, inning, balls, strikes, outs, and other relevant game statistics.
- Communicate effectively with the PA announcer, game officials, and other stadium staff to stay on top of changes and ensure accurate scoreboard display.
- Monitor game flow and ensure all required updates are made promptly and correctly.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of game rules, statistics, and team-specific information.
- Assist with other game-day duties as needed, such as helping set up or tear down the scoreboard area.
Qualifications:
- Comfortable with technology, including the ability to operate computer systems, scoreboards, and other electronic equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information to the team and other staff members.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the game schedule.
