Minot Honeybees is offering an internship opportunity for a current college student with an interest in operations and equipment management to gain experience and knowledge in the sports industry. Hot Tot internships provide students with immersive, hands-on-learning to help position them for a career in the sports, entertainment and event industry upon graduation.
Who We Are
The Minot Hot Tots began play in 2023. After a successful first two seasons, the Hot Tots are excited to continue to build on that success. The Hot Tots were the first team to sellout Corbett field since the 90s and hosted 11 sold out games in 2024.
The Northwoods League (NWL) is the largest organized baseball league in the world with 25 teams, drawing more fans than any league of its kind. The NWL provides top college players from North America and beyond a summer collegiate baseball experience. More than 300 Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball in the NWL’s 30-year history.
In 2024, the Minot Honeybees, part of a first of its kind NWL summer collegiate softball league began play. The Honeybees were one of four inaugural teams to play at Corbett Field in 2024. All internships will have the unique opportunity to work with the Hot Tots and the Minot Honeybees softball team.
The Internship Position
As the Clubhouse Manager you will help support our ballpark operations and player personnel team.
The majority of the time, the clubhouse provides the focal point of a softball club. It often determines the way a player develops and the level of success he has both on and off the field. A well managed clubhouse offers a multi-functional facility, from providing a meeting room to acting as a second home to the players. As the Clubhouse Manager, you will provide exceptional customer service to players, coaches, team personnel, umpires, league officials, and special entertainment acts such as mascots.
The Clubhouse Manager will work closely with the operations department and other internal departments to assist with all operational and team needs. This includes but is not limited to equipment inventory management, clubhouse and dugout cleanliness and organization, and serving as a Hot Tot & Honeybees representative at various promotions, events, and Hot Tot & Honeybees games.
The Clubhouse Manager will also assist the Hot Tots Clubhouse Manager during baseball games. The Hot Tots Clubhouse manager will support the Softball Clubhouse Manager during Honeybees games.

Academic Qualifications: Applicants should be studying a subject in a relevant field. This may include but is not limited to Sport Management, Event Management, Hospitality, Business, Marketing.
Roles and Responsibilities
Pre-Season Clubhouse Responsibilities
- Equipment inventory
- Uniform inventory
- Cleaning & organization (coach locker room, player locker room, umpire locker room, bathrooms, showers, laundry room, washers, dryers, dugouts, batting cage area)
- Distribute equipment and uniforms to each player & keep records of items distributed
Game Day Responsibilities
- Umpire Liaison: Serve as point of contact for umpires as they arrive in Bismarck
- Call hotel to verify rooms
- Give them meal vouchers
- Make sure umpire room is set before they arrive
- Ensure they receive a high quality post game meal every game
- Give gas receipt to GM for repayment
- Laundry: Home & Visiting team (personals, uniforms, towels)
- Clubhouse Cleaning: Home & Visiting team (tables, garbage cans, dugouts, water/Gatorade jugs, coach office), cleaning crew will clean bathrooms, showers, and locker room floors
- Equipment: Issue any necessary equipment to players (keep records), bring umpires game balls, fill water coolers for both teams (equipment inventory sheets will be provided and should be filled out for any equipment given to players. Sheets should be kept on file for future reference)
Post Game Responsibilities
- General cleaning the locker rooms
- Food: Home, Visiting, & Umpires: Responsible for distribution and clean up of post game meal for the home, visiting team and umpires
- Collect laundry (uniforms & towels) from locker room and begin for following day
- Equipment pickup and storage
- Any other request made by front office personnel
Post Season Responsibilities
- Collect equipment and complete inventory of collected items
- Collect uniforms and complete inventory of collected items
- Cleaning & organization (coach locker room, player locker room, umpire locker room, bathrooms, showers, laundry room, washers, dryers, dugouts, batting cage area)
General Team Responsibilities
- Game and Team Event Availability: Expected to be available for all Minot Hot Tot & Minot Honeybees Home Games. home games and team events, this includes weekends and holidays. The Hot Tots will host 36 home games, while Minot Honeybees will Host 20 home games.
- Outside Event Availability: Expected to be available for select outside events including but not limited to company picnics, festivals, etc. Full event list will be provided. This includes weekends and holidays.
- Game Day and Event Hours: Expected to be available from mid to late morning through the end of the game and/or event. Schedule will be decided by the direct supervisor on a homestand and event basis.
- Non-Game Day/Event Hours: Expected to attend office hours of 9 AM-5 PM each weekday.
- Assist with distribution of team pocket schedules, posters and other marketing materials throughout the stadium and community.
- Assist with ballpark set-up and tear-down before-the-season, after-the-season and during each homestand
- Assist with ballpark clean-up after every home game this includes but is not limited to trash, bathrooms, etc.
- Assist with event set-up and tear-down at team events
- Assist with Family Fun zone set-up and tear-down
- Maintain ballpark cleanliness including but not limited to: cleaning tables, chairs, Family Fun Zone area, etc.
- Every intern will be required to perform as the mascot at least once during the summer
- All other duties as assigned by front office staff
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Availability to work all home games and team events
- The ability to work extended hours upwards of 14 hours. Late hours may be required after games to ensure team uniforms/laundry is ready for the next day.
- The ability to lift 30-50 lbs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Sheets
- Strong verbal communication skills

Stipend: $500 monthly stipend
Housing: Housing provided. Intern will be responsible for utilities.
