What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Assistant position at Minot Housing Authority?
Duties may include some or all of the following, but is not limited to only these:
· Answer the telephone and deal with walk-in customers in a manner that represents the Minot Housing Authority as prompt, professional and friendly.
· Direct visitors, clients and customers to the appropriate individual.
· Maintain confidentiality of client information and the disposal of records.
· Answer questions and assist clients as needed in completing forms and documents.
· Set appointments and respond to requests via telephone, mail, or in person.
· File documents, notices, and forms in an accurate organized manner.
· Receive, document, issue receipts, batch, process rent and other money.
· Perform 'mail room' duties. Receive, date/time stamp, route incoming mail and materials.
· Use office machines such as computer, modem, monitor, printer, typewriter, photocopier, calculator, postage machine, fax machine and numerous communication devices.
· Prepare work orders as needed to assist the Maintenance Department.
· Perform additional clerical duties as may be directed by the Executive Director and supervisors.
