What are the responsibilities and job description for the Broadcast Internship position at Minot Minotauros?
The Minot Minotauros of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are looking to add a broadcasting intern for the 2025-26 season. The right candidates will be looking to develop their broadcast and media skills while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
The broadcast intern will have the opportunity to work with the current staff on our game broadcasts developing both as a play-by-play and analyst. The ideal candidate will be interested in working both in front of and behind the camera. The intern will also assist with some game operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Co-hosting Minotauros NAHLtv Pre and Postgame Shows
The broadcast intern will have the opportunity to work with the current staff on our game broadcasts developing both as a play-by-play and analyst. The ideal candidate will be interested in working both in front of and behind the camera. The intern will also assist with some game operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Co-hosting Minotauros NAHLtv Pre and Postgame Shows
2. Serve as a voice on the game broadcast for NAHLtv.com and social media feeds
3. Writing and generating stories ideas for www.minotauroshockey.com
4. Co-hosting a new Minotauros Monday through Thursday social media show
5. Communicating and coordinating with the rest of the Minotauros Media team
6. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be either currently enrolled in or recently graduated from college studying a related field. The student may or may not choose to seek college credit for this internship, the Minotauros will work with the student's school to ensure the internship works within their requirements for credit if so desired.
This position is open to in person candidates only.
What the Intern can Expect from the Minotauros
The Minotauros will work with the intern to develop their broadcast skills as well as their abilities with products such as Adobe Creative Cloud, working within established branding guides (both our own and our partners), and creating advertising inventory through media production. Our media team is collaborative in nature and the intern will be given the opportunity to seek the projects that will help them achieve their ultimate career goals. Interns should expect to be treated as valued members of the team and encouraged to share opinions and ideas openly. Our goal is to help our interns develop real skills, not just send them on coffee runs.
Additionally, the Minotauros will provide the intern with housing while in Minot.
