This position is responsible for the entire enrollment process for applicants to Minot State University, communicating with applicants and administering the admission standards. This position also is a member of the enrollment management team that supports recruitment and registration of students
Tasks involved in fulfilling above duty/responsibility
- Process all applications including Canadian and International applicants. Data entry for applicant biodemographics, applicant academic records, admission decision data, and campus level service indicators and student groups.
- Create and maintain admission checklist. Communicate with the applicant missing checklist items.
- Evaluate transcripts, test scores, and other admission documents. Follow state and institutional policies to determine admission provisional statuses, service indicators, and student group placement, exempt students from admission standards such as core HS classes. Escalate admission files as needed to campus administration.
- Produce admission decision letters.
- Schedule campus admissions committee meetings.
- Create and manage paper and digital files of application and admission records. Verify record retention.
- Gather data to ease the transition to campus for new students in working with other departments. Distribution of student records to appropriate departments.
- Issuing refunds for duplicate payments.
- Attend state sponsored meetings.
- Assist with General office duties as needed
- Keep up-to-date on campus developments and changes.
- Participate in staff meetings, committee work, and other duties as assigned.
- Compile data for institutional studies as requested.
Requirements
AA/AS required BA/BS preferred in information systems, communication, public relations, marketing or business. Experience in working with computers and application software (work processing, scanning, database, spreadsheets) PeopleSoft experience preferred.
