Position Description & Details
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining Minot State University Facilities for university related and public events, which includes custodial duties. Cleans, renovates, and renews floor surface finishes and operates related equipment. Cleans and dusts furniture, fixtures, and related furnishings. Collects and removes waste paper and other debris. Provides sanitary conditions in washrooms, and washes windows, walls, and woodwork. Cleans walkways, shovels snow, and generally assists in keeping outside areas in a clean and orderly condition. Move furniture around for equipment. Makes minor repairs to equipment. Opens and secures buildings and classrooms on a predetermined schedule. Night/evening shifts may be available.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Requires the equivalent of successful completion of high school, or equivalent and one year of custodial experience. Must have the ability to perform the described custodial duties including knowledge of methods, equipment, and supplies used in the cleaning and upkeep of facilities. Must be physically able to perform a variety of manual tasks and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with the public.
