The Human Resources department supports, promotes, and works to impact the success of the University. We also direct human resource programs and work to achieve defined objectives through planning, developing, distributing, and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines.
Monitor recruitment and advertising processes
Review and post position announcements and changes
Assist supervisors and applicants with the hiring process
Review hiring procedures for compliance with ADA, Veteran’s Preference and EEO regulations
Facilitate Position Description review process per HRC guidelines
Manage criminal background checks process to ensure compliance
Assist employees with benefit questions
Assist employees with payroll questions
Provide support and data entry in HRMS, and other systems as necessary
Maintain employment files for all employees according to best practices
Manage Confidential Information regularly
Assist with scheduling for Director of Human Resources
Develop and maintain forms for the HR department
Assist with Open Enrollment Activities
Assist in the completion of surveys such as IPEDS, CUPA, AAUP, Dept of Labor
Attend meetings/workshops with TIAA, NDPERS, Dept of Labor, Workers Comp, IRS, and other agencies as needed
Requirements: Associates degree or above, minimum of 1 year in an office setting, preference in HR, proficient in Microsoft Office suite, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, proven ability to multitask, exceptional interpersonal skills to include the ability to be highly discreet and maintain confidentiality.
