What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Adjunct Instructor - Part Time position at Minot State University?
Position Information
The World Languages program of Humanities, Social Science, and Interdisciplinary Studies invites applications for a one-semester adjunct faculty position to begin August 2025. Responsibilities include teaching in Spanish at the undergraduate level for two or three class sections. Courses may be in-person, online asynchronous, or online synchronous depending on need and experience. Responsibilities may also include tutorial and conversational sessions with Spanish students.
Minimum requirements include:
- A Master's degree in Spanish, Spanish literature, Spanish linguistics, or a related field from an accredited institution, OR 18 graduate hours in a related field.
- Native or near-native fluency in English and Spanish.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience teaching at the college or university level.
Applicants must have effective oral and written communication skills.
Preference will be given to applicants who can provide student evaluations or other evidence of effective teaching.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, CV, and statement of teaching philosophy. Applicants may also submit representative teaching evaluations. All materials should be submitted using the MSU HR Online portal.
