What You’ll Do:
Production Planning & Scheduling:
• Convert customer orders into manufacturing schedules using advanced planning tools.
• Monitor daily customer demand and align production capacity accordingly.
• Coordinate with Plant Superintendent and staff to ensure proper staffing and resource allocation.
Materials Coordination:
• Review raw material inventory daily to ensure adequate supply.
• Work with central Purchasing to coordinate material procurement and releases.
• Ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and components.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management:
• Oversee inbound and outbound freight coordination.
• Publish and review shipping schedules with logistics partners.
• Verify incoming shipments align with expected deliveries.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting:
• Utilize capacity planning tools to optimize scheduling efficiency.
• Provide regular updates on inventory levels, open orders, and scheduling KPIs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendors to drive efficiency.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain coordination (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills—working with cross-functional teams is key!
• Proficiency in scheduling software, ERP/MRP systems, and capacity planning tools.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset to resolve issues before they arise.
• Strong Knowledge in Excel and Word Applications.
• Education/Experience:
o Associate degree is required; prefer bachelor’s degree in technical or financial field of study.
o 5-7 years of experience in planning, scheduling, and purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
