Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:
Our client, a professional services firm based in West Knoxville, is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. Key Responsibilities:
Verifying and coding by department and activity
Obtaining authorization for incoming invoices
Verifying amounts on projects for consultant/sub-contractor invoices
Processing recurring monthly invoices
Making appropriate payments online
Making appropriate copies for sales and use tax, assets, auto maintenance, etc.
Updating Excel spreadsheets
Establish and maintain vendor relationships
Maintaining current certificates of insurance and requesting updates as needed
Receiving and requesting W9s
Maintaining auto maintenance files
Accounts payable filing and year-end archiving
Other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Associates Degree in accounting or business field is a plus
Prior experience working in accounts payable or other bookkeeping functions
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Exposure to Deltek/Vantage Point software is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
