Job Summary:
The Landscape Designer will be responsible for creating and implementing landscaping designs for various projects. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and knowledge of landscape architecture principles.
Duties:
- The Landscape Designer & Estimator position is essential to the success of our projects and client relationships. This role is responsible for:
- Meeting with clients to understand their vision, needs, and budget for landscape projects.
- Creating innovative and visually stunning softscape designs using industry-leading software.
- Developing detailed planting plans, including plant selection, seasonal color rotations, and sustainable landscape practices.
- Preparing accurate project proposals, including cost estimates, timelines, and material specifications.
- Selling landscape design and maintenance projects to client prospects and confidently closing deals.
- Conducting site assessments and gathering essential project data.
- Collaborating with nursery suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality plant materials.
- Working closely with the Operations Team to ensure smooth project handoff.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, sustainability practices, and plant care techniques.
- Occasionally answering incoming sales inquiries, including those outside of landscape design.
Experience:
- Strong design skills and a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality.
- Experience or knowledge of landscape estimating systems (e.g., LMN) is a plus.
- Excellent sales and client relationship skills – you're motivated by closing deals!
- Proficiency in design software like SketchUp (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of plant material, soil health, irrigation basics, and seasonal plantings.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management abilities.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license required for site visits.

Pay: $60,880.00 - $68,623.00 per year
