Job Title : Buyer / Planner
Location : Frankfort, KY

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and / or ABILITIES :
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred
3-5 Years Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment
Industry Certification such as the Advancing Productivity, Innovation and Competitive Success (APICS), Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Supply
Chain Management (SCM) credentials is preferred.
General knowledge of the scheduling process and material planning requirements
Good understanding of production operations, Quality System Procedure and SOP's, and a good understanding of continuous improvement / LEAN methods.
Practical experience in production planning, production materials, forecasting, inventory management, Supplier relationship management, and Risk management is essential.
Strong organizational / prioritization skills
Good analytical / problem solving skills
Ability to read and comprehend complex analytical instructions, correspondence, and memos. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other various personnel in the organization.
